A Second to Pause

Life just gets too busy where I cant even find time to breathe. I know that we always need to take a minute, and make time for ourselves, but how do you do that when youre constantly on the go? How do you do that when you have a family to take care of, a house to keep clean, food on the table, and maintain your career?

How do you find...balance?

As sad as it seems, I had to "schedule" my time to myself today. I decided that between 1230pm-130pm, I am doing absolutely nothing. No cleaning, No work, and No Phone. Its quiet here in the house right now- I'm enjoying my cup of joe, and the rain drizzling on the window sounds great!

My Firsts

I am now 31. Can you believe it? 31...

For my birthday, I really wanted to do something different. So- here is a list of my firsts:
1. I didnt have to work, since my birthday this year fell on a Saturday. Yay for no work!

2. I participated in the 5k for the Race for the Cure. Getting up at 530am to go exercise?! What!?

3. After living in Dallas for 5 years, I finally went to the State Fair. The food was overrated, and I felt sick by the end of the day. Next year, I will ride the rides.

4. Went to a pumpkin patch. This was probably my favorite activity. We got awesome pictures, and got to spend time with my new family!

THE dress

I must admit... wedding planning hasnt been on the fore front of priorities. I know this should be an exciting time, but I havent been bitten by the wedding bug yet. LoL!

I do, however, find myself randomly getting in the mood- such as today. After my appointments, I wanted to go look at dresses. We stopped in at LuLu's in Dallas, which is a sister store to Stardust Celebrations in Plano. They were very helpful, and very nice! Once they gave me a bag of "clippies"- I was off to clip dresses that I wanted to try on.

You hear people say that the moment you put on THE dress- you will just "know." Well, the moment I put on THE dress, I did just "know." I even got a tear out of Chelsey. =) Every dress I tried on after that was just not cutting it, and at that point, I was just done.

Sorry folks- but you dont get to see it. You'll have to wait a year for that!
